This is a summary of rule modifications that are not part of the WBC rules set. Mainly this diverged a couple years ago with a play-by-email version. I began tracking this late 2010.

Skill Chips and Qualifying: When I modified car construction last edit, I failed to notice that I changed the core ratio of wear to skill on the table so that they are considered equal now. So for pitting races, skill should be considered equal to wear in the future.

Car Construction: I made several changes here. First, I've decided to find more common ground between the PBeM and the WBC rules. So all terminology is reverting back to the traditional. At its core the bottom end of the design table has been filled in (the -2 buys from the WBC table). The top end has been absorbed into the WBC rules so that part is all still there as it was before. Most importantly, I reverted from 3 points total for construction to 2 points (as used for the core rules). Again, I did this because that's what the WBC rules use but I also think that having some -2 options makes it easier to buy up on the other end. However, I expect cars to be less powered then before. This part could get changed again in a couple races.

Tires/Wear: Option and prime tires are now given equal wear at the same buy levels (at the level options tires got before). Due to the requirement to use both, I felt it less important to scale them differently.

Skill Buy: I reduced the amount of skill bought at the different levels. I felt like it was too easy to just buy a lot of skill and then ignore all the other stats because skill is the universal cheat in this rule set.

Skill Use: I made a slight syntax change for how skill is used. Skill use is now explained as a way to avoid rolling on a table. I think the only material change this causes is that you no longer could take a corner for 1 wear, 2 skill, plus a chance table roll because now its chance table OR skill not both. Also note that pushing start speed now costs only 1s instead of 2s.

Brakes Test Table: Its back. I like it better this way.

The Tables Themselves: I've ditched all of the new PBeM tables in favor of the old WBC tables. No more engine stress and no more negative t. I liked the concepts, but I'm not sure I liked them enough to maintain the two rule sets. Also, the pit crew test table remains unchanged but has been converted over to the 2d6 format of these tables from the 1d12 version previously used online. The end result is that its a little more friendly. The only other big change here is that you can no longer role multiple chances in the same corner.
