- Play will follow the Ice Age rules book in a melee format.
- At the end of any turn during which a player has been reduced to 0 life or less, the game ends.
- If the game has not concluded by any other agreed upon time, then the game ends as if it was not played.
- The player who lost the previous game, begins the next. If everyone died last game, use the previous game to determine who goes first.
- If a creature with trample is killed by first strike damage, the trample creature does not get to apply its trample damage.
- Players follow standard ante rules except as noted below.
- Ante
- Instead of winner takes all, every player gains 1 more ante then the player they finished ahead of in that game with the loser getting 1 ante. Ante is selected from the available pool 1 card at a time. The winner selects one ante, the player who had the second most life picks second, and so on until all every player has selected an ante. The player who finished first gets to start the picks again, and so on until all players recieve their appointed ante.
- If a game ends with every player dead, everyone is given a win and a death and the ante from this game is pushed to the next game. If the ante is pushed to another day, then the ante is shuffled back into the ante deck and forgotten.
- Proxy Ante
- Starter deck(s) and/or booster pack(s) of agreed upon type are shufled and set aside for proxy ante. Any time a card is anteed 2 proxy ante cards are associated with the anteed card. Any time a card's control is permenantly changed, a proxy ante card is drawn and associated with that card. If control of more then one card is permenantly changed by the casting of the same spell, the castor of the spell gets to pick which prozy ante drawn are associated with which each card in play. Anytime that a current ante card is removed from ante (ie. Jeweled Bird) the caster picks one of the two proxy ante associated with it to remain associated with that card. That one proxy ante is then replaced form the proxy ante deck. At the end of the game ante and any cards whose control was premenantly changed are returned to their orignal owners. Players who ended the game in control of cards that permenantly changed to their control get to keep the proxy ante associated with that card.
- For a 4-player game, 2 additional proxy ante are placed in the center of the table at the beginning of the game. These ante may not be touched or used in any way until the game ends at which point they are treated like any other proxy ante.
- Any proxy ante acquired during this series that is not "in block" will be marked on its face or recorded by its owner and may be used in the future as if it was "in block." This exception to the usable card list above only applies to that single instance of the card. Multiple cards of this type can be used only if they have all been acquired through this series' proxy ante.
