Capo pulls away from Rednecks in FLOF Bowl 10

FLOF Bowl 10: Capo 21 v. Rednecks 0
Adam Vinatieri scored 18 pts to lead all scorers and complete a 31 pt two-game playoff run to lead Capo to a FLOF Bowl victory in their first season. Rednecks' defense came out of the gate strong with a huge game from Edward Reed, but the offense failed to connect at any level. Donnie Edwards provided the defensive beef for Capo while Thomas Jones gave Vinatieri plenty of offensive support.

2006 Pro Bowl: LaDanian Tomlinson sweeps awards

For the second year in a row a RB dominated the post season awards. This time LaDanian Tomlinson was named unanimous selection for MVP, Offensive MVP, and 1st Team RB. Jamie Frazier won Coach of the Year honors. Jason Taylor won Defensive MVP honors. All but two teams sent a player to the Pro Bowl led by 4 from the Hamburglers and 3 first teamers from the Drow.

2006 Season Notes

Lightning's 2-11-1 campaign may have been the worst season ever: recording the most losses, worst winning percentage, 5th worst home winning percentage, and 3rd worst road winning percentage in FLOF history. Hamburglers, on the other hand, put together the 4th best power and 5th best offensive power rankings of all time. Drow contributed the 3rd best defensive power ranking ever.

Tomlinson ended up 5 pts shy of 300 for the season. Its the second best single season total ever, second best pts per game average for a season, and best of both for RBs. Peyton's 215 pts this year was the 4th most ever by a QB and Brees' 19.5 pts/gm was the 3rd best for a QB ever. Jeff Wilkins and Robbie Gould put in the 3rd and 4th most kicker pts in a season. Jason Taylor scored the most pts in a season by any defensive player. Him and Shawne Merriman scored the 3rd and 4th most pts/gm respectivly for a DF. Adrian Wilson scored the 2nd most pts in a season by a DB and had the 3rd best pts/gm average ever.

Javon Walker's 29 pt game in week 9 was the 2nd best ever for a WR. Jason Taylor's 30 pts in week 11 was the 3rd best ever for a DF. Capo's 18.71 avg at QB was the 3rd best ever. Shockingly Hamburgler's 22.57 pts/gm at RB was the best ever. Ramjets (8.56) and Drow (7.71) scored the 3rd and 4th best averages respectively at DF.

Overall scoring was down in FLOF this season by 6 pts per team per game (62 this season, 68 the past 2 seasons). Most of this was on offense, which saw a drop of 4 pts per team per game.
