2006 Season Notes
Tomlinson ended up 5 pts shy of 300 for the season. Its the second best single season total ever, second best pts per game average for a season, and best of both for RBs. Peyton's 215 pts this year was the 4th most ever by a QB and Brees' 19.5 pts/gm was the 3rd best for a QB ever. Jeff Wilkins and Robbie Gould put in the 3rd and 4th most kicker pts in a season. Jason Taylor scored the most pts in a season by any defensive player. Him and Shawne Merriman scored the 3rd and 4th most pts/gm respectivly for a DF. Adrian Wilson scored the 2nd most pts in a season by a DB and had the 3rd best pts/gm average ever.
Javon Walker's 29 pt game in week 9 was the 2nd best ever for a WR. Jason Taylor's 30 pts in week 11 was the 3rd best ever for a DF. Capo's 18.71 avg at QB was the 3rd best ever. Shockingly Hamburgler's 22.57 pts/gm at RB was the best ever. Ramjets (8.56) and Drow (7.71) scored the 3rd and 4th best averages respectively at DF.
Overall scoring was down in FLOF this season by 6 pts per team per game (62 this season, 68 the past 2 seasons). Most of this was on offense, which saw a drop of 4 pts per team per game.
